How would you describe your dietary lifestyle?
Low-Carb, Low-Carb/High-Fat, Ketogenic, Paleo, a mix of these, or something else entirely? I am on a therapeutic ketogenic diet (85% fat). I do follow most Paleo principles. I eat organic veggies and grassfed, pastured, wild meats.
What got you involved in that lifestyle?
I was very ill with neurological disease. For 5 years I spent most of my time in a recliner and could walk 2/10ths mile per day with a walker. It has changed my life. I live a pretty normal life now and walk 5-6 miles per day (no walker)!
What is your favorite book for info on that?
I like both Keto Clarity and The Wahl's Protocol What is your go-to, or favorite meal? Bacon braised, balsamic Collard greens with Ribeye Grass fed steak.
What is the best thing about that lifestyle?
I have the most energy I have ever had in my life. I am enjoying things like hiking and camping.
What is the biggest challenge you have with eating this way?
Finding foods to support the hiking/camping lifestyle that will give me the amount of fat I need. I am really excited to see if some of your new products will help with that!!
What tip would you give others just starting?
You can get rid of your sugar addiction and you WILL learn to love fat!!
